Vision
If you cut an During World War II, the British Royal Air Force invented the myth connecting carrots to clear, sharp vision as a way to explain the sudden increase in Nazi bombers being shot down. A disinformation campaign spread this rumor that British fighter pilots were eating carrots to improve their vision, when in reality, the British had a new radar system they wanted to keep secret from Germany. The story caught on, however, and it remains popular to this day. But although there is a grain of truth to the claim, most people will not experience positive changes in their vision from eating carrots unless they have a vitamin A deficiency.
A recent study investigated the effect of providing nightblind, pregnant Nepali women with vitamin A, some in supplement form and others in foods like carrots or liver. The subjects were compared to Nepali women who could see normally at night and had no deficiency in vitamin A. After receiving treatment six days per week for six weeks, nearly all of the nightblind women reported full recovery, their vision approaching the level of the non-nightblind pregnant women.
Diabetes
At carrotmuseum.co.uk, we read, "There has been conflicting evidence as to whether people with diabetes should eat carrots and confusing advice about how much sugar there is in carrots and what their true glycemic number is, and therefore some advisors err on the side of caution and do not recommend you eat them. The current thinking is that carrots are now an "ok" food for diabetics (medium effect on blood sugar levels), so the advice from the World Carrot Museum is that carrots are fine in moderation and you should, as always, consult your health practitioner or dietician should there be any concerns and before contemplating a change". Carrots have been found to improve blood sugar control, due to their fiber and beta-carotene content. Research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health suggests that antioxidant carotenoids like beta-carotene may help prevent diabetes: When 4,500 people were tested over 15 years, the participants with the highest levels of carotenoids in their blood had approximately half the risk of diabetes of those with the lowest levels. Carotenoids and Blood Sugar
Intake of foods such as carrots, that are rich in carotenoids, may be beneficial to blood sugar regulation. Research has suggested that physiological levels, as well as dietary intake, of carotenoids may be inversely associated with insulin resistance and high blood sugar levels.

For juicing, Carrots have secrets! And the secret is: I cut a little larger portion off the top of the carrots. That's because the top of the carrot is very bitter and it's important to cut deep enough to get that part cut off. When I first started juicing, if I didn't do that, my juice was really bitter and I didn't understand why. Trial and errror, and a few TV vegetable shows taught me this! If your juicier has speeds, put it on high speed for the carrots or any other hard root veggie. Also, pay close attention to the pulp container, as it fills up fast and clogs up the juicer.
Straining the juice afterwards can help. I juiced myself and regained my health from cancer. And even today at the grocery store, I talked to the vegetable man and he told me that there is a man that comes in for 25lb. bags of carrots and he said that man told him he healed himself from cancer with carrots. So, I hear a lot of success stories too. But too many Carrots can have consequences. I make sure everything is in balance.
I want everyone who visits this site to be able to absorb as much of the studies as possible, and I want you to understand somewhat foreign information, so read and re-read if you have to. The Bible is the same thing, in order to understand and get to know many of the Old Testment Heroes, and what God is really saying and what Jesus taught, which is also connected to the Old Testiment prophecies, you will also have to read your Bible and meditate on it often. Thank you!
Concerns
Beta-carotene from carrots comes with a concern. Although it is healthy, there has been evidence that over consumption of Vitamin A suppliments or carrot juice can cause harm. In a Reader's Digest Article called "The Vitamin Myth", Neena Samuel writes:
Antioxidants such as vitamin A, beta carotene (another form of vitamin A), E and C have long enjoyed a reputation as disease fighters because they're thought to protect against free radicals that can damage cells and speed up aging. But in 47 randomized trials involving almost 181,000 adults, researchers found that taking vitamin A, beta carotene and E, alone or in combination, actually increased the person's risk of dying by up to 16 percent. These latest findings made headlines, but they haven't convinced everyone. A number of leading health experts criticized the JAMA review...that ther results were skewed because the studied it reviewed were too diverse and could not be easily compared. It also included deaths from all causes, not just health-related ones. ... Still, others wonder, why take the risk if you can get what you need from the produce aisle or the farmer's market?
This article tells me to not just rely on vitamin pills and suppliments, but to have a balanced diet filled with a healthy variety of God-created fruits and vegitables. At carrotmuseum.co.uk, we read: "Though the yellowing of the skin from indulging in a heavy dose of carrots is seldom serious and will disappear in a few days, continued carrot gorging can cause medical problems. In 1974 one unfortunate English health advocate named Basil Brown consumed 10 gallons of carrot juice and took 10,000 times the recommended RDA of vitamin A in a period of 10 days. Those 10 days were the unfortunate man's undoing, his skin turned bright yellow and he died of severe liver damage".
I make sure everything is balanced and nothing is, in and of itself, overdone. I juiced plently of onions when I had cancer to reverse it, but now I make sure a balanced variety of various veggies are included.

Fast Facts on Carrot Research
Dr. Baybutt of Kansas State University
Now, there was a study in which heavy, long-term cigarette smokers were given synthetic beta-carotene. This did not appear to prevent them from developing lung cancer. Well, not only is synthetic beta-carotene not biochemically identical to the real stuff found in carrots, but scientists now believe that a carrot's protective effects are the result of a team effort among several substances abundant in carrots, including alpha-carotene. This is another, less publicized carotenoid. A recent National Cancer Institute study found lung cancer occurence was higher in men whose diets did not supply a healthy intake of alpha-carotene.
Only a Perfect God could and did create the wonderful Carrot, and we should expect synethics to be no match to what God has made.
Juice for yourself or if someone you love is a smoker, or if you are frequently exposed to secondhand smoke, then making vitamin A-rich foods, such as carrots, part of your healthy way of eating may save your life, suggests research conducted at Kansas State University. While studying the relationship between vitamin A, lung inflammation, and emphysema, and common carcinogens in cigarette smoke, Baybutt's earlier research had shown that laboratory animals... fed a vitamin A-deficient diet developed emphysema. One of his animal studies indicates that not only does the benzo(a)pyrene in cigarette smoke cause vitamin A deficiency, but that a diet rich in vitamin A can help counter this effect, thus greatly reducing emphysema. Richard Baybutt, a professor at Kansas State University believes vitamin A's protective effects may help explain why some smokers do not develop emphysema.

Joni's Testimony

Ten years ago, Joni Olive-Badalian fought cancer and won--with prayer and Juicing. She had surgery and a little chemo, but the doctor said her cancer was gone prior to this. The rest was so that it never returned. He then asked her husband George, "What denomination of faith are you?"
