WHAT WOULD LIFE BE WITHOUTthe Onion as an added flavor to perfect our favorate dishes? The word onion originates from the Latin word unio for "one," because the onion plant produces a single bulb. About this bulb, the Bible says that the Israelites in the wilderness cried, "We remember the fish we ate in Egypt at no cost—also the...onions" (Num. 11:4-5). Who, therefore, can forget this big golden root? Who can ignore the crying eyes of the one who cuts into it? And who cannot help but praise God for creating this life saving root!
In the early 1990's, while I was driving and listening to the radio, the News Report mentioned a Johns Hopkins Food Science Study that reversed cancer in 100 mice with using onion juice in their water. When I had cancer in 1999, I remembered this and immediately went on a juice fast that began with onions, took vitamins and suppliments, my husband made a prayer room and my cancer was reversed before her surgery, and afterwards, she required no Chemo but was asked to take 5 or 6 which she did but now that she understands with the research that these vital anti-cancer chemicals are found in many different produce and she would have never taken the toxic poision they asked her to take. She had no idea chemo is toxic. Her surgeon was also a research scientist at this same research facility in florida but for chemicals only and when she reversed her cancer he was so excited because he told her "He knew nothing of nutrician" but in his excitment for research he meet with 300 area cancer surgeons, radiologist and OB/gyn's to better understand what she did to reverse her cancer so quickly. Nothing came of it...However, when he came out of surgery he asked George Badalian her husband "What denomination of faith are you? He further said that her Ovaries were perfect and then George answered "None we just love God and Jesus with all our hearts!... Read more
You must give God all the glory for the multiple health benefits of the Onion, and we must also praise him for creating the beautiful blossom that bursts forth from the bulb. Onions contain a many sulfides similar to those found in garlic. They have been shown to lower high LDL cholesterol levels and high blood pressure, and they help prevent atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease. This reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke. Beneficial effects have been traced to onions' sulfur compounds, its chromium and its vitamin B6, which helps prevent heart disease by lowering high homocysteine levels, another significant risk factor for heart attack and stroke. Onions have been singled out as one of the few vegetables and fruits that contributed to a significant reduction in heart disease risk seen in a meta-analysis of seven prospective studies. Of the over 100,000 individuals who participated in these studies, those whose diets most frequently included onions, tea, apples and broccoli-the richest sources of flavonoids-gained a 20% reduction in their risk of heart disease. And in India, communities that never consumed onions or garlic had blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels substantially higher, and blood clotting times shorter, than the communities that ate liberal amounts of garlic and onions. As a rich source of flavonoids, Onions provide protection against cardiovascular disease, and as natural anticlotting agents, they possess substances with fibrinolytic activity and can suppress platelet-clumping.
In the Cornell News Article, Onions Anti-Cancer Effects", dated October 7, 2004, the report stated: "Many onions are chock full of anti-cancer chemicals". ... However, certain varieties are particularly high in these compounds as well as more effective in inhibiting liver and colon cancer cell growth. ... Phenolics and flavonoids, like other antioxidants, help prevent cancer by mopping up cell-damaging free radicals and inhibiting the production of reactive substances that could damage normal cells."
Now, Dr. Liu has shown you how enormously valuable onions are in fighting cancer! He also says, "Onions are one of the richest sources of flavonoids in the human diet." Moreover, Liu points out. "Flavonoid consumption has been associated with a reduced risk of cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Flavonoids are not only anti-cancer but also are known to be anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-allergenic and anti-inflamatory."
In my own personal opinion: Onions are wonderful, and it certainly answered all of my questions about how the 100 mice were all healed from cancer, and that helped me when I remembered that research study, and I juiced Onions and I can testify that it worked for me....
Joni's Testimony
Ten years ago, Joni Olive-Badalian fought cancer and won--with prayer and Juicing. She had surgery and a little chemo, but the doctor said her cancer was gone prior to this. The rest was so that it never returned. He then asked her husband George, "What denomination of faith are you?"
