Carrot Juice
By Joni Olive-Badalian
These combinations are only suggestions. Any mix of these veggies or any other veggie you think would taste great is perfectly fine, we want you to have fun experimenting just as I have had fun in making many of my combinations.

FOR ONE PERSON: 1 - 5lb. bag of carrots and for a family of four, one 10lb. or 2 - 5lb. bag will be good. Wash with a stiff brush. |

It is important to cut away from the top. The area of the carrot closest to the stems or where the root meets the surface of the ground is very bitter and when I was learning I threw away a lot of juice because of bitterness. Do this and your carrot juice will be sweet every time. |

I really find plastic containers of various sizes to be really helpful when feeding into the juicer begins. |
These recipes are just suggestions, but all these are full of the ingredients that are healing and we chose not to burden you with an entire produce department, which can become unnecessary and confusing. We hope you enjoy juicing.
When I juiced for cancer, I fasted with one small tuna sandwhich, but other suggestions include anything light, fresh and healthy. I did not eat any heavey meats or processed foods. Also, I would not drink the juice immediatly before or after eating. It is always best to drink it on an empty stomach.
Note: When juicing for a therapy, I did three 16oz glasses of veggie juice a day.
